At first students are introduced to the basic arsenal of techniques, which is a combination of punch and kick strikes, defense based on the Sector Defense Paradigm, footwork and grappling attack counters. Tactical elements are assembled in line with the underlying scheme of this level – Escape.
The following level teaches appropriate habits of the Complex Defense and striking in combinations, as well as approaching the opponent and transforming the Sector Defense from passive to active. The underlying tactical scheme of this level is Withdrawal.
The next stage includes clinch, safe ways to engage in clinch, striking in close combat and executing takedowns. The underlying tactical scheme is Suppression.
The following stage is dedicated mainly to grappling techniques and their counters (so-called ‘Anti-grappling’).
The final level aims at polishing the individual technique arsenal of every student, teaching tactics of facing multiple opponents, defending in a pair, confrontation in untypical conditions (night, closed space, defending third parties). All techniques and tactics are adjusted for use in self-defense conditions and consolidated into a coherent blend forming a lasting habit.
